Acrylic Kezako? Best Wishes

I finally received the pickguard, after he spent five days at the Post Office of my corn. Not that I was in no hurry to recover it, you might expect, but when I pass the Post Office this morning at 8am is not yet open, and when I will return in the evening in the other direction it was already closed ... 18h
So during those five days I lost a little nosed plastics, because we read everywhere that DG is "acrylic", but never designated an acrylic plastic ... It is actually the PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) which is an ester vinyl (an acrylate therefore, hence the name twisted) you do not know at least one trade name: Plexiglas ... The pickguard has been made from an opaque PMMA cast sheet of 3mm thick which gives it its character
eristic gloss and hardness. Plaque sent by Guitar Tech is a jewel, never saw a plaque as bright, as thick and black as well .... Bingo! The machining is impeccable, the back of the plate is completely shielded, the switch is prewired with rigid wire in short a great job. I had some problems in reassembling the set (it mildly, not least because it never went into the amp, it's embarrassing when even a guitar) so I took my good old method to detect the problem: visual verification of compliance with the wiring diagram, checking continuity and son of the masses to Compare ohmmeter position, verification of each microphone cable directly to the welding output jack (!!!) , verification of Potar unsoldering volume of the entire loop selector knobs for tone, and that's where it shit. You probably know the trick, you can do it all with ceiling that removed by tapping on the pads with a micro screwdriver, it sounds great in the amp.
Here, I consider my BlackStrat is finite.
Giving life to this project and that dream took a few dozen hours of work, has occupied my mind several months of my life, I learned a lot in the process, I met by a crowd of enthusiasts, luthiers, or just curious, but all very nice.
following steps? Maybe some tests on the neck and middle pickups, making pictures for the blog of course ... but mostly spend hours playing on this guitar with the greatest pleasure in thinking of the friends, my family and my wife I have offered.
And then perhaps a video, and then an overdrive and a boost for the TAR (Maxon OD808 or Belcat OVD ?...) The blog continues! Cheers!

A small recap of expenditures, as promised:
